Reflection for Monday, Dec. 21
“Blessed are you among women, blessed is the fruit of your womb”
Luke 1:39-45
Faith and trust in God with the awareness of our blessings give hope and meaning to our lives. These blessings, though many, vary from day to day depending on our circumstances at the time. There is joy to be had in each day if only we are optimistic and hopeful.
Mary’s visit to Elizabeth, and extraordinary mission for her known as the “Visitation”, gave her the opportunity to share the joyful news of the coming birth of Christ. We should have the same trust in God’s words as Mary did – and listen.
The love of family, here in my heart, is my greatest gift. God continues to bless our family with happiness, healing, joy, and peace – all of which comes with a love that knows no bounds. A message for all comes from the song “Peace to You” by Gregory Norbet and Mary Callahan.
“Peace to you and every good that life can bring. Evening’s song is calling us to wonder.
The night has come and all is quiet now to end the day in listening…
…and peace will bring the morning sun!”
