Introduction

Dear Friends,

As the Season of Advent begins, we join with people of faith throughout the world to embark on a new liturgical year. It is a journey we make together as a community of believers rooted in Christ - in his love, compassion, and generous service to all of creation.

We have been fortunate to have had the gift of faith nurtured in our lives by family and friends, by teachers and spiritual directors. Now it is possible for us to help one another by reflecting on the scriptures that are given to us during this special season. It is a season of waiting, of expectation, and of hope.

May each daily reflection offered by our community members be experienced as a gift given in Christian love. May each day bring us closer to God and to one another as we pray for the presence of Emmanuel to come into our world, into our family and community settings, and into our hearts. 

God comes to dwell with us! Rejoice!
