Dr. Ron’s “100 Miles for Holy Family’s Future” Run
Greetings,
Stories of hope and transformation are possible because of donors like you who support the mission and ministry of Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center. Here is mine . . .
My name is Dr. Ron Burt, and my family and I live in Farmington, CT. We have been long-time members of the Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center community. And our lives have been enriched – and yes, transformed there.
We consider Holy Family to be hallowed ground. And the people of Holy Family have become foundational elements of our personal and spiritual lives. Moreover, the friendship, support, and guidance we have received from Fr. Terry Kristofak have been invaluable blessings. For us, Fr. Terry is the “heart and soul” of Holy Family. Like many families, we have celebrated good times and have been held up in difficult ones by Holy Family.
As you can imagine, the pandemic has hit Holy Family hard and we feel called to assist them by returning just a bit of the blessing that they have been to our family.
Today, I’d like to ask you to help us support them in their time of true need by participating in a matching gift challenge towards their Resilience Fund.
On Saturday, July 18, 2020, a team of running friends (pictured below) and I will run “100 Miles for Holy Family’s Future.” On that day, our team will collectively run at least 100 miles for the benefit of Holy Family.
We pledge to use our gift for running and ask you to make a generous gift of support, as you are able, to Holy Family the first $10,000 of which will be matched – dollar for dollar-- thanks to the generosity of a grateful friend of Holy Family!
Together, we can preserve the future of Holy Family for those who wish to deepen their Holy Family experience - and for those yet to discover the blessings that await them there.
Thank you. Dr. Ron Burt
Holy Family Resilience Fund
The Holy Family Resilience Fund was created to help raise $2 million to build a financial bridge to weather the significant and sustained losses in revenue caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Most importantly, it allows us the flexibility to adapt and better serve our beloved community with enhanced online offerings, building modifications, etc. Your continued support will help us deliver our mission and ministry in a way that is as true to the Holy Family experience as possible. Thank you for helping us be RESILIENT in these very challenging times.
