This program will explore the impact spirituality and religion have on the provision and acceptance of healthcare. It will include discussions of prayer’s clinical implications, providing prayer to patients of all faiths, and assessing the spiritual needs of both patients and healthcare providers in times of stress and need.

Christine M. Berté, EdD, APRN, FNP-BC, CNE
Christine M. Berté is a family nurse practitioner with a post-master certificate as a psychiatric/mental health N.P. Her practice specialty is adolescent medicine. Christine holds a doctoral degree in nursing education and has taught nursing and held administrative positions for over 25 years. She presently teaches at Yale University School of Nursing.
