Holy Family’s JustFAITH Ministry invites you to bring some Christmas cheer to those in our wider community.  There are three ways to participate in this outreach:

  1. Please consider making a monetary donation to any of the organizations listed below.

  2. Please take a tag or two from our Christmas trees, with gift suggestions for migrant farmworkers and their families and for children from the Hartford Catholic Worker in the North End of Hartford. If you attend in-person mass, please feel free to take a tag from the Christmas tree in the main dining room. If you would like to stop by at another time, please feel free to take a tag from the Christmas tree located at entrance #5. Donations of gifts can be dropped off at entrance #5 by Sunday, December 20th.

  3. Please contact Carole Connolly at cfconnolly@sbcglobal.net for more ways to participate.

Organizations being supported by our outreach:

The Hartford Catholic Worker performs the Works of Mercy on a daily basis and in a personal matter in the North-end of Hartford. During the Covid epidemic, their work is focused on the distribution of food, gift cards to Stop & Shop, Kindles, desk tops to children in remote schooling and helping families with rental and utility assistance.  JustFaith group of Holy Family has been partnering with the HCW for several years and supports their work. If you want to keep your neighbors housed, warm and fed this winter please make a donation to: www.hartfordcatholicworker.org

The Emmaus Migrant Advocacy Project helps migrant and seasonal workers and families on both sides of the border of United States, Texas and Arizona. Locally we assist with basic needs, legal and medical resources as well as assimilating the workers in the CT River Valley’s South Glastonbury farms.
