Voting as a Faithful Act
Tuesday, September 24, 2024
6:00 to 8:30 p.m. (ET)
Brian Stiltner
As the U.S. enters the final months of the presidential election season, the question of how Catholics should vote becomes urgent once again. For some Catholics, whether to vote at all becomes a real question when they perceive that all the candidates are flawed in one way or another. For some years, The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops have provided helpful guidance in their letter, “Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship,” but that guidance is, in some ways, incomplete and ineffective. This talk will explore Catholic perspectives on voting and suggest constructive ways to assess candidates, issues, and priorities. This evening of reflection will begin with dinner in our main dining room, followed by a presentation and discussion in the Main Conference Room at 7:15 p.m.
This program will be offered both in-person and online via Zoom. Information on how to access the program on Zoom will be sent to participants in advance.
Offering: $50
