Being a senior can provide one with the unique perspective of 2020 hindsight as we reflect on the COVID-19 pandemic – a time of great angst and uncertainty. Jim and Beth will share their thoughts on lessons learned from the "great pause" and explore ways to cope with the challenges that face us as we strive to build a more thoughtful and hopeful future for our children and grandchildren.

Jim and Beth Malley
Jim and Beth have been married for 52 years and have three children and nine grandchildren. Jim is the former Chair of the Department of Counselor Education and Family Therapy at Central Connecticut State University. Prior to teaching at CCSU, he worked 27 years with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs providing counseling to disabled veterans. Beth is co-curator of the Monastery Gallery of Art and a certified Zentangle teacher who enjoys helping others explore their artistic and creative gifts. She was in sales and marketing for over 20 years and has been a docent at the Wadsworth Atheneum for 25 years. Beth believes that art can not only reflect the potential of the human spirit but can also offer lessons to us in today's world.
