The Life of Christ in Art

For centuries, artists have depicted the life of Christ on canvas. In this online program, we’ll examine some of those depictions from the collection of the Wadsworth Atheneum and make comparisons between works that depict Jesus as we have not seen Him before. Join us for an art-filled and prayerful evening to gain an appreciation of the art focusing on the life of Christ. 

This program will be offered online via the Zoom platform. Information on how to access the program will be provided to participants in their registration confirmation email.

Beth Malley is co-curator of the Monastery Gallery of Art. She has been a docent at the Wadsworth Atheneum for more than 25 years, leading discussions and detailing works of art for viewers.
