Advent Retreat for Young Families

Join us for a fun and faith-filled afternoon to prepare your family to celebrate the Advent season. Advent is a time to slow down, listen, and prepare – not just rush through to get to Christmas. This retreat will help families learn to enjoy the time with focused activities, thoughtful prayer, and conversation to ensure that those four weeks are celebrated, not wished away.
This retreat is most appropriate for families with school-aged children. The cost of the retreat includes dinner and materials for a family project.

Lisa Orchen
Lisa Orchen is the communications director at St. Josephine Bakhita Parish in Rocky Hill, CT. She has served in pastoral and catechetical ministry for over 25 years in the Archdiocese of Hartford, most recently as the Archdiocesan Director of Catechetical Initiatives for the Office of Education, Evangelization and Catechesis. Additionally, she is a spiritual writer and workshop and retreat leader. Lisa holds a B.A. and Master of Divinity from the University of Notre Dame.
