Reflection for December 15
Today’s gospel reading is titled “Jesus’ Testimony to John.” I found it ironic at first because usually we read and hear about so-and-so’s Testimony to Jesus! Then again, isn’t Jesus’ entire life on earth a Testimony?
What if there was a story titled “Jesus’ Testimony to [insert your name here]?” We may not be all Prophets with a capital P like John the Baptist was, but we all are called to be prophetic witnesses to the Good News. What would Jesus say about you?
As we prepare to welcome baby Jesus into our lives again this Advent, are we announcing the Good News? What will Jesus witness in us this Christmas?
